Advancing Environmental Research: Insights from Our Presentation at the 8th Environmental Conference

At BikiarisLab, we are committed to making a positive impact on the environment through innovative research and groundbreaking discoveries. We are thrilled to share an exciting update with you all: On the 7th of October, our very own Nina-Maria Ainali took center stage at the 8th Environmental Conference of Macedonia in Thessaloniki, Greece. Her presentation, titled "Effect of UV Radiation on the Degradation of Polymeric Materials and the Formation of Microplastics," shed light on critical issues on microplastics formation.

Nina-Maria Ainali's presentation delved deep into the intricate relationship between UV radiation, polymeric materials, and the formation of microplastics. In a world where plastic pollution is a growing concern, her research brings us one step closer to comprehending the extent of the problem and finding sustainable solutions.

Nina-Maria's research investigates the precise mechanisms behind this degradation process. By understanding how UV radiation affects polymeric materials, we can work towards designing more durable plastics that break down less readily in the environment.

Collaboration is at the heart of impactful research, and we were honored to have Professor Bikiaris co-chair the microplastics session alongside our close collaborator, Professor Lambropoulou, at the conference. This partnership underscores our commitment to fostering connections with experts in the field and amplifying the impact of our research. We are excited about the progress we've made and the insights we've gained from Nina-Maria Ainali's presentation. If you're interested in staying updated on our research or learning more about our ongoing projects, please don't hesitate to reach out.
