Come find us at the 9th IUPAC International Conference on Green Chemistry!

This week, our lab participates in the 9th IUPAC International Conference on Green Chemistry, which takes places in Athens, Greece, on 5th – 9th September 2022 at Zappeion Megaron.

Prof. Bikiaris will give a keynote oral presentation on Wednesday morning, with the title "European Sustainable Biobased Nanomaterials Community (BIOMAC): From biomass pretreatment for monomers and additives extraction to the synthesis of biobased composites".

Additionally, we participate with 12 posters:

TUE-44: Synthesis and characterization of poly(lactic acid)/poly(ethylene adipate)

copolymers for paclitaxel controlled delivery

Presented by Dr. Zamboulis

WED-34: European Sustainable BIO-based nanoMAterials Community (BIOMAC)

Presented by Prof. Triantafyllidis

WED-35: Towards sustainability: Exploring the properties of novel vanillic acid-based

polyesters

Presented by Eleftheria Xanthopoulou

WED-36: FDCA-based copolyesters modulate the properties of PLA-based blends

Presented by Dr. Zamboulis

WED-37: Synthesis and properties of poly(glycerol pimelate), a hyperbranched

polyester for ocular drug delivery

Presented by Dr. Zamboulis

WED-40: Study of the modification of chitosan structure with 2-methoxy-4-vinylphenol for enhanced antioxidant activity

Presented by Prof. Bikiaris

WED-41: Exploring the potential of itaconic acid based unsaturated polyester resins as

high performance green materials for UV 3D printing applications

Presented by Lazaros Papadopoulos

WED-49: Synthesis and Characterization of Unsaturated Polyester Resins Based on

Adipic Acid

Presented by Lazaros Papadopoulos

WED-98: Pilot scale continuous photocatalytic reactor for removal of emerging

contaminants from leachates

Presented by Asoc. Prof. Lambropoulou

THU-19: Photocatalytic Degradation of Ceftazidime in Wastewaters and Landfill

Leachate using Manganese Oxides Supported on TiO2–Graphene

Nanocomposite Catalysts

Presented by Asoc. Prof. Lambropoulou

THU-68: Impact of UV-B Exposure on Physicochemical Properties of Poly(ethylene terephthalate): On the way to microplastics formation

Presented by Nina Maria Ainali

THU-116: Investigating the structural and mechanical properties of innovative

polypropylene/nanoadditive composites for heating/cooling pipe systems

Presented by Eleftheria Xanthopoulou

We are looking forward to exchange and disseminate knowledge and ideas that promote the concept of green chemistry, sustainable development and circular economy and discussing our latest work with the experts of the field of green chemistry!
