Another Scientific Mission with COST Action Fur4Sustain of BikiarisLab member came to an end. Maria's Lazaridou STSM grant took part in the Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Biobased Systems (IBioSys) at the Technical University of Graz under the supervision of Assoc. Professor Rupert Kargl. Maria worked on the synthesis and characterization of novel biobased chitosan derivatives as potential candidates for biomedical applications and also acquired training in surface analytical techniques. Furthermore, during her visit to Graz, she participated in one of the biggest International conferences on polysaccharides, EPNOE23, hosted by the Technical University of Graz, presenting part of her work.
STSM is a great way to learn new techniques, methodologies, and ways of working and also build and expand the network of collaborations generating new opportunities.
