Young researchers from BikiarisLab showcased the group's research projects at the second OPEN DAY of the Faculty of Sciences of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), on Wednesda November 29, among the 25 research groups that participated in the event.

Students, staff and members of the Faculty of Sciences had the opportunity to discover the research conducted at the Faculty of Science, share creative ideas, and widen their perspectives. We also had the privilege to exchange and discuss with Prof. Hara Charalambous, the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences.

Check out the projects that were showcased!

BIOMAC

BIOMAC (Bio-based NanoMAterials Community) aims to tackle the obstacles that hinder the evolution of concept development in the field of nano-enabled bio-based materials and products and to industrialize a new generation of nano-enabled bio-based materials. (www.biomac-oitb.eu).

REDONDO

Redondo targets the synthesis of reversibly cross-linked polyethylene and the preparation of composite materials with advanced properties owing to the incorporation of biobased additives.

Sustain-a-Print

Sustain a Print (SaP) aims to replace the fossil-based materials used for printed electronics with biobased, biodegradable and recycled materials by the implementation of eco-friendly and Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) methodologies (https://www.sustainaprint.eu).

We look forward to witnessing even more revolutionary findings from the Faculty of Sciences as they continue to enrich the world via their incredibly diligent work and iwe hope to see everyone again next year!
