On the 31st of January 2023, Lazaros Papadopoulos received an "Honourable Distiction" from the Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, for a "substantial contribution in research" as a Young Researcher!
He received his Master’s degree in Polymer Chemistry and Technology from Aristotle University in February 2019 and started his PhD in May 2019. During his period with the group, Lazaros participated in numerous national and European research projects, became a co-author of 34 papers in international peer-reviewed journals and produced 24 poster communications in International Scientific events. In 2020 he joined the COST Action FUR4Sustain as a member of Working Group 2.
Lazaros was awarded two Short Term Grant, from Fur4Sustain COST action and DAAD, and carried out part of his PhD thesis at Fraunhofer WKI, in Braunschweig, Germany under the co-supervision of Dr. Tobias Robert.
Lazaros is currently finalizing his PhD thesis on Biobased 3D printable polymeric materials with antibacterial properties, which is funded by a HFRI scholarship.
