As the project CellSuc comes to an end, the bio-based nanocomposite polyester resins based on succinic acid were sucessfully tested as binders for wood particleboards.
As an alternative to conventional petrochemical-based resins, the new formulations developed in the contect of the project in collaboration with Chimar SA are at least 66% biobased. More information on our work on resins based on succinic acid have been published here. We are very excited to continue our fruitful work and play our role in contributing to a more sustainable society!
